The Crystal Palace, 1851-1936: a portrait of Victorian enterprise

Very Informative and well written
I thought that this book was very well written and extremely informative. I used to own a copy years ago but lost it (someone borrowed it and refused to return it!). Since then I have been looking for a replacement. I have most of Beaver's other books too!

The Crystal Prophecy
Published in Paperback by Love Spell (April, 1995)
Author: Janice Tarantino
Average review score:

This is a story about courage found.
When I started this book I couldn't put it down. The plot and the characters draw you in. You feel the Susan's confusion as she is pulled between her time, her brother and all that is familiar and the world of Jared, her soulmate. Is her love for Jared enough for her to brave the danger that threatens Jareds world with distruction? Will it be it enough to let the powers that had her labeled as a freak in her time run free? If you like PSI and magic this book has got it. It is fill of action and is not so boged down with ideas of how the society is run, new tearms and technology, that it loses you as with some novels set in the future. Its also got a healthy dose of romance throwen in. I will be buying the the sequal.

Crystal Radio: History, Fundamentals, and Design
Published in Hardcover by Xtal Set Society (January, 1996)
Author: P. A. Kinzie
Average review score:

This is just one of the great books from Xtal Set Society.
The Xtal Set Society sells several books on crystal radio including back volumes of the society newsletter. Crystal Radio: History Fundamentals and Design was one of the first and it is still one of the best. Contrary to the above information, all of their books are still in print, and you can find the XSS easily by typing in the keywords "crystal radio" on most of the major search sites.

Crystal Reports 6.0 Advanced Workshop

The Absolute Easiest Way to Learn This Program
This training manual along with the New User Workshop is the fastest and easiest way to learn Crystal Reports. It is thorough and the Table of Contents and index make it a ready reference. There are pictures of what your screen should look like when you are given instructions and also when you check your work after completeing the excercises. There are warning messages to let you know how what you do will effect other things and explainations of all of the ways to access functions. Crystal charges $500 for a basic course and you have to fly to a major city; they also ask you to come prepared by reading and understanding chapter 7 of their book. This book is $50 and if you started with the new user manual you don't need to understand anything to start with. FastPlanet also has a tech support number in thier book if you get stuck -- I haven't needed to use it. Once again, I highly recommend this book. I have 5 Crystal books and this is the only one worth the paper.

Tremendous Tudor
This book is fantastic!! It is really a classroom manual with all of the little things explained and actual pictures of what appears on the screen when you are done. It's simple format and excercizes make using it a breeze whether you want to skim over basic things you already know (like how to get around in a windows environment) or dive in and do all of the excercises. It also lists the several ways that you can do each task so that you can choose which way you want. I find that the "warnings" and notes are invaluable because they tell you how and why the program does certain things and the consequences of making certain decisions in your report writing. The excercizes seem basic at first, but introduce you to all the possibilities and where to find them. Crystal charges $800-900 for their courses which are only held in major cities and asks that you already complete Chapter 7 in their manual. As a working, home schooling,dog-and-cat-owning mom, I can train at home when I want and save the travel expenses! I look forward to completing my projects in Crystal; it will save our company a ton of $ and I should get a major bonus (or so I'm told -- my husband is the boss!) I highly recommend this program. This book along with Crystal's very well written help section should give you enough to do whatever you want.

Staff "Power Users" of Crystal Reports 9
I reviewed many books when searching for curriculum intended to educate our entire staff on Crystal Reports 9. We intend to incorporate Crystal Reports 9 in our custom software; therefore the software development "standards" department also had to approve the books. FastPlanet offers the most extensive, well-explained, usable books whether using the Quick Start or the Power User book. With minimal alteration, we were able to submit the books as a basis for a course to a local University. The University will instruct the course to our employees and provide a certificate of achievement from the State (certifying knowledge of product). I highly recommend this book. I am extremely impressed with the high quality of customer service offered to me by FastPlanet (also Vision Harvest) over the web, by e-mail and over the phone. What a GREAT company to deal with!

Thr Crystal Skull took me to a place I never really thought about before, and opened mind to new possibilities. It looks at reincarnation and where the human soul began. I would suggest this book to anyone interested in sprituality and the meaning of life.
